Beautiful pair of rustic rope armchairs by Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet. Made of woven seagrass rope cord on a beechwood frame. Excellent condition with an authentic patina to the wood.

French designers Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet were committed to a design ethos based on accessible materials to serve modern life. In reaction to the Paris Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels of 1925, which they deemed to only cater to a wealthy elite they set to ground their designs in something more homespun, even rustic.
